We Are All Solvers
The Collaborative for Student Success’ We’re All Solvers initiative is challenging the idea that math is something only a select few are “good at” or that it matters only for future careers in STEM. Grounded in the belief that everyone is a math person, the initiative encourages families to build a healthy math home—one where math is part of everyday life, curiosity is encouraged, and children feel confident exploring numbers and solving problems. As part of this work, a growing coalition of expert endorsers, led by six governors is calling on the American Academy of Pediatrics to provide national guidance on early numeracy, so families have the tools and support to nurture foundational math skills through everyday activities like counting, comparing, and playing games.

10th National Flagway Tournament and Math Playground
A youth-led celebration of math literacy for the 2026 Year of Math. The Playground features 25+ interactive games for K–8 students and families. In the Tournament, middle school teams compete in a fast-paced, strategy-based game rooted in number theory.

Modeling the Future Challenge / Year of Math Collaboration
The Actuarial Foundation and the Year of Math initiative are teaming up to showcase the power of mathematics in action. Through the Modeling the Future Challenge (MTFC), students tackle real-world issues like climate resilience and public health using modeling, data analysis, and risk assessment.
