Facilitated by the Conference Board of the Mathematical Sciences (CBMS), the 2026 Year of Mathematics (YoM 2026) is a national celebration designed to renew America’s and global appreciation of mathematics by highlighting its beauty, relevance, and impact.

The program uses a collaborative, community-driven approach that relies on partnerships and crowdsourced ideas. We invite proposals from the broader community that showcase the joy, beauty, and wonder of mathematics.

Subject to all of the obligations and conditions contained in this Agreement, upon approval of this submission the Licensor, CBMS, the facilitator of the 2026 Year of Mathematics project, hereby grants a non-transferable, non-sublicensable, non-exclusive, royalty free license expiring March 31, 2027 to use the 2026 Year of Mathematics Branding guidelines in connection with promotion of the Year of Math 2026 in the United States. Licensee shall comply with 2026 Year of Mathematics Branding Guidelines, access to which shall be granted upon approval of this submission. In the event that Licensor determines, in its sole discretion, that Licensee’s use of Licensor’s 2026 Year of Mathematics Branding materials does not comply with the terms of this agreement and the disclaimer below, Licensee shall immediately cease all use of Licensor’s 2026 Year of Mathematics Branding Guidelines upon receipt of notice from Licensor. Nothing in this Agreement shall be construed as granting Licensee any ownership rights in the Licensor’s 2026 Year of Mathematics Branding Guidelines.

Licensee shall not make any false, misleading, or deceptive statements about Licensor or Licensor’s products or services and shall only make factual statements about same. In any advertising, statements, or materials referencing Licensor or Licensor’s products or services, Licensee shall clearly state that any opinions expressed are those of Licensee and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Licensor. In the event Licensor determines that Licensee has made a statement about Licensor or Licensor’s products or services that is determined, in Licensor’s sole discretion, to be false, misleading, deceptive, or inaccurately imply that the statement reflects the opinion on Licensor, Licensee shall immediately cease all use of Licensor’s 2026 Year of Mathematics Branding Guidelines upon receipt of notice from Licensor.
